The chairman of the board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), Ymer Fejzullahu, declared that the implementation of the agreement on energy in the north will not be easy. After the licensing of “Elektrosever”, citizens in the north, unlike the rest of the country, will have the opportunity to choose their energy supplier.
In an interview for KosovaPress, Fejzullahu says that the implementation of this agreement would have positive impacts. According to him, in addition to the payment for services, the two interconnecting lines between Serbia and Kosovo would be unblocked, which would translate into more income for KOSTT, but it would also reduce the demand for energy in the north, which has increased significantly in the last year, as a result of the production of cryptocurrencies.
