The defense of the former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has justified its request for unique investigative possibilities for eight diplomats whom it intends to hear as witnesses before the start of the judicial process. According to the defense, these witnesses will provide some of the most important evidence that the court will hear in this case, and according to them, they are old and with different health conditions. Connoisseurs of judicial processes evaluate this request as appropriate and as an opportunity to provide evidence that may be inaccessible during the judicial process.
The diplomats are Steve Bennett, Wesley Clark, Jock Dovey, Michael Durkee, Daan W. Everts, Bernard Kouchner, William Walker and a witness whose name appears redacted in the brief filed by attorney Gregory Kehoe in court.
