The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Besnik Tahiri, said that the decisions taken by the officials who are in acting positions can be challenged by legal institutions and considered illegal, according to the Law on Public Officials
In a press conference, Tahiri emphasized that an interpretation is urgently needed from the line ministry, i.e. the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), otherwise, according to him, the state falls under blockade.
According to him, the term of the mandate is limited by the law, therefore there is no possibility that with a by-law act, such as the decision to extend the mandate, beyond what is expressly defined in the law.
Therefore, according to MP Tahiri, all the decisions signed by the acting officials who have been in office for more than a year, may be considered contrary to the law and may not produce any legal effect on the parties.
Tahiri added that this practice of this government in this term of three and a half years is destroying the civil service, politicizing and doing great damage to the state administration.
According to him, he has requested that by Monday the line ministry, in this case the MIA should give a legal opinion so that the state is not blocked and 80 thousand civil servants of the state administration are not left without salaries.
