The head of the PDK Parliamentary Group, Abelard Tahiri, stated today (Friday) that the government has burdened the well-being of citizens and the functioning of the state through harmful and anti-constitutional decisions during 2023.
At the last conference for this year, Tahiri also criticized the parliamentary agenda, for which he said that “it is madness to approve many laws in one session” when dozens of sessions fail.
The PDK MP, in the press conference, also mentioned some of the issues that as a parliamentary group they have raised this year in the Assembly of Kosovo, while adding that they have sent six laws to the Constitutional Court, two of which have received a positive result. He expressed optimism that they will receive a positive response from the Constitutional Court for the other four.
According to him, the only positive agenda that has moved forward is the Electoral Reform that has been led by the PDK itself.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the PDK has also mentioned the resolution that the PDK has proposed to support the Kosovo Police, which he recalled that Vetëvendosje has not accepted.
Asked about the draft statute for the Association, Tahiri said that the same provides parallel power for Serbian municipalities, for which he blamed Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
