Svecla after the attacks in the north: Vucic’s games are continuing, the barricades should be removed immediately

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Svecla, reacted after last night’s shootings in the north of the country, saying that the games of Vucic and his criminal instruments are continuing.

Svecla also mentioned the reports of the Serbian media which reported that “in Zubin Potok there were armed clashes initiated by the Kosovo Police.

“Well, when they realized that the criminal gangs supported by him (Vucic) attacked KFOR, they wanted to deny all the attacks. The barricades must be removed immediately. Serbia must stop organizing and supporting illegal criminal structures that want to destabilize the Republic of Kosovo”, Minister Svecla wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the Kosovo Police will continue to play its role and fulfill its mission.

“I appeal to all citizens not to fall prey to Serbia’s propaganda to incite a new conflict and to cooperate with the Police and law enforcement agencies,” he appealed.

The barricades at the two border points with Serbia, Jarinje and Bernjak, were set up on December 10 by Serbian criminal groups, as a sign of protest against the arrest of the former Serbian policeman, Dejan Pantic, by the law enforcement authorities in Kosovo. He is suspected of organizing a terrorist attack on the offices of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in the north of Kosovo.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that he expects the peacekeeping mission of NATO, KFOR, to remove the barricades in the north. Meanwhile, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, said that the Kosovo Police has the necessary capacities to act in this direction.

Calls for the removal of the barricades have also been made by the US embassy in Pristina and the one in Belgrade, saying that the arrest of Pantic is being used as an excuse for illegal roadblocks.

Masked Serbian criminal groups have attacked the Kosovo Police, journalists and the EU mission, EULEX.

As a result, a Kosovo policeman was injured, for which he also received medical treatment.

While on Sunday, December 25, they fired shots near a KFOR patrol in Zubin Potok.
