Officials of the municipality of Mitrovica have failed to carry out the plan and the old promise that all street vendors will be located in the new market. More than 10 years have passed since then and no change has been made, vendors are on the street while the market space is empty.
Street vendors complain that the location designated for the green market by the Municipality in 2012, is located away from the city so if they are located there, there will be no benefit, because citizens will buy in shops that are closer to the center.
On the other hand, citizens criticize the sale of fruits and vegetables on the streets, saying that such a thing is out of any norm and harmful to their health, while the municipal officials emphasized that they are treating the issue with priority, without giving any deadline that when this problem will be solved…
