At the beginning of next year, the indictments of the trial in absentia for war crimes are expected to begin. The special prosecutor, Drita Hajdari, said for KosovaPress that with the end of the legal deadline for the announcement in the official newspaper, the first indictments will begin without the presence of the defendant. In an interview for KosovaPress, she said that they have filed 13 indictments for war crimes.
