In addition to the increase in the number of beds in intensive care unit from 4 to 10 and in the ward from 14 to 17, in the Cardiac Surgery Clinic at the UCCK (University Clinical Center of Kosovo), 200 square meters of unused space have been discovered.
This is what the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, declared during the inauguration of the renovation of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic, who said that 750,000 euros were used from the budget of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the director of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic at UCCK, Shpejtim Shurdhiqi, has added that since 2013, Cardiac Surgery Clinic has needed such a renovation.
Likewise, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has emphasized that the only problem and challenge of the renovations in the UCCK is the placement of patients during the renovation of a certain ward.
The Italian ambassador Antonello De Riu and the director of ShSKUK (Shërbimi Spitalor dhe Klinik Universitar i Kosovës), Elvir Azizi, also took part in the ceremony.
