Rama: Russia should stop the war against Ukraine, Albania has done what it can

The Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama stated today that holding the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” Summit in Tirana proves the commitment of this region to solving the problem of the war in Ukraine, as he called on Russia to stop the military aggression started in February 2022.

He made these comments in a joint conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, after the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” summit today in Tirana.

Rama emphasized that Vladimir Putin wanted to erase Ukraine from the map in a matter of days, but today Ukraine is anchored in Europe more than ever.

Prime Minister Rama has emphasized that the holding of the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” Summit proves the commitment of this region to solving the problem of the war in Ukraine, as he has called on Russia to stop the military aggression launched in February 2022.

He said that free Ukraine depends on the financial and military assistance of international countries and requested that, in this regard, there should be no delays.

Prime Minister Rama emphasized that the Western Balkans must remain united in support of Ukraine and Russia must not be allowed to win the war, as such a result would be unaffordable and the entire existence of the EU would be at risk.
