The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has reacted to the burning of the chairs of the Parliament by the MPs of the DP opposition.
Regarding the acts of violence and the fire that was set on the chairs outside the Albanian Parliament, Rama said that this was a revolt of the opposition against the Court’s decision.
Prime Minister Rama emphasized that the role of politics can be seen through these images. According to him, politics, as it has the power to build, also has the power to destroy.
Rama also said that if this balance were to be established between the forces that are on one side, on the side of building, on the side of healing, on the side of planting and cultivating and not on the side of destruction, wounding and uprooting and burning, Albania would not have wasted so much time.
On Monday, in the plenary session of the Albanian Parliament, the opposition MPs lined up in front of the podium in protest after the arrest of DP MP Ervin Salianji.
After the collision and blocking of the rostrum, the opposition MPs took the chairs out of the Parliament hall and set them on fire.
