“Peace for Ukraine” and “We stand with Ukraine” were some of the messages seen in the hands of the protesters in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The President of the country, representatives of foreign embassies in Kosovo, non-governmental organizations and many citizens have marched from “Skanderbeg” square, in the direction of “Zahir Pajaziti” square. With the colored placards of the Ukrainian flag, support has been expressed for this natione who have been occupied by Russia since the 24th of last month.
President Vjosa Osmani stressed that what the people of Ukraine are experiencing brings back memories of the severe wounds inflicted on every citizen of Kosovo by the genocidal regime of Serbia. The head of state reiterated Kosovo’s readiness to receive Ukrainian citizens and journalists from this country.
