With flowers in their hands and smiling faces, they are waiting to be introduced to their teachers. Ready for the beginning of a new chapter, the school yard and the surrounding street are witnesses of the emotions of parents and children. At the beginning of this new school year, the “Model-Qamil Batalli” school has started the implementation of full-day classes. First graders will start classes from 07:45 to 14:30. Third and fourth grade students until 15:20, while fifth grade students until 16:00.
Hazbije Gashi, who is the mother of two children who started first grade today, has welcomed this decision of the Municipality of Prishtina.
The “Model-Qamil Batalli” school is one of the five schools that will implement full-day classes in the capital.
The principal of this school, Liridon Maliqi, says that they have prepared and are ready to organize the lesson in this form.
According to the request of parents and psychologists, first grade students will finish the lesson at 14:40.
The director of the “Model-Qamil Batalli” school shows how the day will continue for the students who will have full-day classes.
Up to the fifth grade, this school has over 840 students. Meanwhile, classes for students from the sixth to the ninth grades will continue at the “Emin Duraku” school.
The Vice-Mayor of the Municipality of Prishtina, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, has announced that today the full-day classes has started only in two schools, in the “Green School” and the “Model-Qamil Batalli” school, while on 30.09.2024 it will continue in the school “Faik Konica”, “Xhemail Mustafa” and “Nazim Gafurri” in Prishtina. /Sh.
