After the arrest of a police officer on January 28, 2021 on suspicion of ill-treatment during the exercise of official duty, another video has been published in the media. According to the announcement of the Police Inspectorate, based on this video, it was suspected of exceeding the police authorizations during the use of force by some police officers in Prishtina.
The case has been initiated in the PIK and investigators in consultation with the prosecutor are engaged in taking concrete investigative actions regarding this case. After several investigative actions in consultation with the competent prosecution, PIK investigators have identified police officers who were involved in this case (employees of the Regional Directorate in Pristina).
