People with disabilities criticize the medical evaluation commission

Representatives of the HANDIKOS Association have criticized the work of the medical evaluation commission for the status and rights of paraplegic and tetraplegic persons. They talked with the Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, where they said that the evaluation commission should be changed and its capacities should be increased. Meanwhile, representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers have stated that they are working to simplify the procedures and have only one evaluation.

The director of HANDIKOS, Afrim Maliqi, has said that dozens of people have had their pensions halved and their right to guardians removed due to the revaluations that have been made to them.
