The country’s President, Vjosa Osmani, received the Swedish Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, in a meeting, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country as well as cooperation in overcoming “common challenges on the European continent”.
Osmani thanked the Swedish diplomat for Sweden’s continued support for Kosovo “emphasizing the importance of partnership in strengthening democratic institutions and advancing our country’s European agenda”.
President Osmani and Westerlund also signed a memorandum of cooperation, which will provide the Office of the President with the support of the Swedish state through professional expertise from the scope of the Presidency institution.
“This Memorandum of Cooperation marks another concrete step towards strengthening institutional capacities and creating policies based on international expertise and best practices,” the Presidency said in a press release.
