President Vjosa Osmani on Constitution Day, has published a photo of her daughters reading the highest legal act of the country, with the message to respect it. “Today, on Constitution Day, we remember the long and painful sacrifice of our people, so that one day, in the constitution of our country, the dream of living free will be realized,” said Osmani.
Today marks 14 years since the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. The Constitution of Kosovo was ratified on April 9, 2008 and entered into force on June 15, 2008. The Constitution defines Kosovo as a state with a neutral attitude towards religion – Article 8. It has 14 chapters and 162 articles. April 9 is officially a state holiday in Kosovo.
