Osmani: I do not want to raise expectations for visa liberalization, the process is not in our hands anymore

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani has stated that she does not want to raise the expectations for visa liberalization, although she has emphasized that she hopes for a progress in this direction. Before the EU Summit, she said that Kosovo belongs to the European family of nations, for which it has contributed for centuries to the values on which the European Union stands today.

The President of Kosovo said that she is participating in the summit to send a strong message on behalf of the people of Kosovo that the country needs to hear a clear voice from the European Union.

“We certainly do hope so, however, I don’t want to raise expectations at this point in time because this process is not in our hands any longer. Kosovo has fulfilled all criteria when it comes to the visa liberalization, four years ago. we have answered to all of the concerns of the member states, and now it’s about time that the member states really support this process because it’s a great Injustice towards the people of Kosovo”, said Osmani

She said that Kosovo has met all the conditions for free movement, so according to her, the time has come for member states to hear the voice of their people.
