The president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, has decorated the former president of Switzerland, Micheline Calmy-Rey, with the “Order of Independence” medal. The decoration was awarded to her for her contribution to the process of Kosovo’s independence and continued support for out country. In this ceremony, President Osmani said that Calmy-Rey was the first leader in Europe who said that Kosovo should be independent and for this the Kosovar people is grateful.
