The Ad-Hoc Commission for the electoral reform in Kosovo did not make a decision for the approval of the work plan and the review of the terms of reference for the advisory group. However, at today’s meeting, it was decided that the same will be approved next week, at the next meeting.
The chairman of the commission, Abelard Tahiri, expressed optimism that the election reform process can be completed within six months.
However, he emphasized that the boycott of the Serbian List makes the reform impossible even in terms of local elections, since a double majority is needed.
On the other hand, LVV MP, Adnan Rrustemi, said that the commission should bear the main responsibility for handling the recommendations of the European Union observers, regardless of the role and expertise that the advisory group may have.
