In the Emergency Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK), during the last 24 hours, a total of 290 cases were registered, of which 25 people were injured by pyrotechnic devices.
The most extreme cases were a child, who had two fingers amputated, and a patient injured by a falling bullet, who underwent surgery and is currently being treated in the Surgery Clinic.
The doctor in charge at UCCK, Avdush Bajgora, told KosovaPress that there are also four cases of eye injury, where two of them, as a result of pyrotechnic particles, have injured the cornea of the eye.
He added that this year the awareness of citizens is much greater than in previous years, as they have a smaller number of patients injured by pyrotechnic devices.
According to him, family members should keep their eyes open, especially for children, so that they are not in contact with pyrotechnic devices.
