Police investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in cooperation with the Basic Prosecution in Pristina on Wednesday carried out the operation “Subsidy 2021” in Pristina, Istog, Gjilan and Lipjan where 12 people were arrested on suspicion of abuse of official position as and taking and giving bribes.
This morning, the police reported that by the order of the prosecutor, the 11 arrested officials were sent to detention for 48 hours, one of them was released in a regular procedure, while the case is being investigated. Based on the evidence, raids were made in several offices and settlements of persons where they were confiscated: 433,160.00 euros, 600 dollars, 200 francs, 275 Turkish lira, 15 telephones, 8 cars, a computer, 5 weapons, a USB and a stamp.
