None of the Balkan countries produce enough electricity, but only Kosovo faces power outages

Kosovo is the only country in the Balkans that started with power outages from Monday, 6 hours with electricity and 2 without it.

Just as Kosovo does not have production capacity above 70 percent for its needs, the countries of the region, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Serbia do not meet their needs for the internal market by more than 70-80 percent, but they have not yet applied any power outages in their countries.

In North Macedonia, according to the Statistics Agency, 75.5 percent of domestic consumption is covered by production. Likewise, 70-75 percent of electricity needs are produced in Albania…
