In the meeting of the Committee for Education, Science, Technology, Innovation, Culture, Youth and Sport, the Draft Law on School Textbooks was voted only by the MPs of the position, because the opposition boycotted the meeting.
According to the opposition, they will not participate in this committee for the review of the “Smuggled Law”.
In this committee, only a few amendments voted by the majority have passed, amendments which were proposed last week.
Meanwhile, after the failure of the review of the Draft Law on School Textbooks, the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Arbërie Nagavci said that this draft law must be finalized because it will improve the quality of education in the country.
Minister Nagavci has called on all opposition MPs to support this draft law because it is of general interest.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Committee for Education, Ardian Gola, said that this draft law had delays in the first reading.
Gola said that the draft law on school textbooks is an institutional and all-powerful decision.
Meanwhile, no other date was set for the next meeting of the Committee for Education.
