There are 21 cases of murders in Kosovo this year, while 2020 has marked an increase in cases of domestic violence. According to the Kosovo Police, there are over 1300 people arrested for serious criminal offenses, while during this period, 12 police officers have lost their lives from COVID-19 and over 1000 are infected since the outbreak of the pandemic in March.
The Acting General Director of the Kosovo Police, Samedin Mehmeti, started his reporting before the Committee on Security and Defense Affairs by presenting the work statistics of the institution he leads.
