The Ministry of Health has confirmed that Kosovo has not registered any suspected cases of monkey pox, but preparations for dealing with this new disease have already begun, and the National Institute of Public Health has started the procedures for purchasing diagnostic tests.
This was announced at a press conference by the Deputy Minister of Health, Dafina Gexha-Bunjaku and the director of NIPHK, Naser Ramadani.
Gexha-Bunjaku said that the danger is real that Kosovo will be affected with this virus, but she called good news the fact that the monkeypox does not have the speed of spread like COVID-19.
