The Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi, met today with the first Israeli ambassador to Kosovo, Tammy Ziv, on which occasion they talked about the cooperation between the two countries in the health sector. In a press release it is stated that Minister Latifi said that he is honored for the visit of the ambassador, the first of its kind in Kosovo, especially given that Israel has a highly developed health system from which much can be learned.
Latifi mentioned the seven pillars of his program for the transformation of Kosovo’s health, emphasizing that health is a priority for the Government of Kosovo.
According to the press release, he also highlighted the need to establish Centers of Excellence and the Trauma Center which is very necessary for the health system of Kosovo. Cooperation on this point, he said, is very useful as Israel’s Center is the most advanced in the world.
Latifi and Ziv agreed that one of the other potential areas of cooperation is the digitalization of the Kosovar health system.
