Officials of the Municipal Electoral Commissions (MEC), representing political parties, refuse to go to their workplaces in four municipalities in the north of the country because of their security.
The head of the Secretariat at the Central Election Commission, Burim Ahmetaj, has said that the MEC members in Leposaviq have stated that they will not go to work there even with police escort. Whereas the members of the CEC have discussed the possibility of replacing them in case they do not agree to work.
