March 7 – Albanian teacher’s holiday

Teacher’s Day is a holiday dedicated to the educational staff of schools and universities. This date has its early origins, to remind the first foundations of the Albanian school, in fact has it has begun to be marked, since 1960, when the Albanian state decided that this day to be a holiday to commemorate the founding of the first Albanian School of Korça, which was founded on March 7, 1887.

The Teacher’s Day at the national level serves to appreciate the best traditions of the Albanian school, without a doubt the honored figure of the teacher, but also of all education workers as educators of the new generations and as active contributors to the development and progress of Albanian society.
