The Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci received the Minister of Defense of Italy, Guido Crosetto, in a meeting.
Minister Maqedonci has announced that they have discussed the security situation in the country as well as ways to expand cooperation in the field of education and military training, as well as in the field of the defense industry.
“I thanked the minister for the support that Italy has offered to Kosovo, especially in the field of security and defense, being the country with the largest participation of troops within the KFOR mission. While I also informed him about the support we are offering to Ukraine through the provision of training and the donation of tactical vehicles and ammunition that are expected to be sent soon”, Maqedonci announced on the Facebook social network.
Maqedonci said that he has asked for Italy’s support in the processes for Kosovo’s EU and NATO membership, for which he said that he has received confirmation from Minister Crosetto for Italy’s unsparing support. “We both agreed that the integration of the Balkans into the EU and NATO would create lasting stability and peace. Grazie Italia!” he wrote.
