The ruling party, Levizja Vetëvendosje (LVV) expects a change in the European Union’s approach to dialogue after the election of new structures. The majority hope that with the arrival of Kaja Kallas at the head of the EU’s foreign policy, a new dialogue strategy will be built that can bring results. But the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo are more skeptical about this.
The MP of LVV, at the same time the head of the parliamentary committee for foreign policy, Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni, tells KosovaPress that the new EU diplomat will have a different approach to countries that oppress and violate democracy, such as Serbia.
But PDK MP Ariana Musliu-Shoshi does not expect such a thing.
The opposition MP declares that despite the changes in the leadership structures, the EU’s approach to Kosovo in the dialogue will continue to be the same.
The MP of AAK, Time Kadrija, expresses the same opinion.
The former Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas is expected to be the High Representative of the Foreign Policy of the European Union.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has often accused the current EU chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, but also the EU’s mediator in the dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, of bias in the dialogue.
