Last year, in the Oncology Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, 1 thousand 626 patients were treated as new cases of malignant diseases.
According to a report of the HUCSK, 400 cases were identified with breast cancer, 214 cases with lung cancer, 391 cases with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, 419 cases with cancer in the emergency and gynecological system, and 205 cases with cancer in the head-neck region.
