Lajçak: There has been little progress towards the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations

The representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, said that there has been little progress as a whole for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

Emissary Lajçak said that he will analyze the two meetings held, the one in Kosovo and the one in Belgrade with President Vucic, and that he will inform the European Union about what was discussed. He said that the discussion with both states was necessary to prepare the next steps in this process.

Lajçak said that the issue of the Banjska attack was also discussed yesterday in Belgrade and the European Union is waiting for an answer to the main responsibility of this issue.

Likewise, Lajçak emphasized that during the meeting the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo was also mentioned, regarding the banning of the dinar. He said that he does not want to talk about this issue, according to him tomorrow information will be provided about this issue.

Meanwhile, the European Union said yesterday that this meeting is part of Lajçak’s ongoing contact and interaction with partners to help them move forward in the Dialogue.
