The special envoy of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, said that the chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, and that of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, will be in Brussels this week. Lajcak said that on Thursday he hopes that they will be able to to bridge the remaining difference.
Lajcak wrote on Facebook that last Monday he received the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and director Petkovic in Brussels.
“We continued our discussions on finding a workable solution for the people impacted by the decision of the Kosovo Central Bank. All in all, it’s been a useful meeting. Both Parties had the chance to explain their ideas and positions. In the end, we concluded that another meeting will be needed. The two Parties will be back in Brussels this week and I hope that we will be able to bridge the remaining difference on Thursday.” he wrote.
