Kusari-Lila: The opposition does not have the votes to send the country to new elections

The head of Vetëvendosje MPs, Mimoza Kusari – Lila stated today that they do not consider that there is room for resignation or the end of the mandate of the current government. According to her, the opposition parties do not have consensus or votes to send the country to new parliamentary elections.

In addition, Kusari-Lila admitted that the heads of state, President Vjosa Osmani, Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, have sent a letter to the rapporteur of Kosovo at the Council of Europe, Dora Bakoyannis.

She said that this is a standard letter without which the membership report, which is expected to be made on March 27 of this year, would not be voted on.

About these, but also about the dinar issue, Kusari-Lila spoke today at a press conference called to present the three-year work report of the VV Parliamentary Group.

Kusari-Lila, asked by journalists about the circulation of a letter in the media where it is said that the heads of state have pledged to establish the association after Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, stated that the letter is nothing more than a formality, while according to her the parts of the report that the letter refers to, are not parts, but a reference to the opinion of reporter Bakoyannis.

She said that this is a standard letter without which the membership report, which is expected to be made on March 27 of this year, would not be voted on.

In addition, the head of Vetëvendosje MPs was also asked about the proposals sent yesterday to the EU on the dinar issue, for which she said that the main condition remains not avoiding the regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo.

She emphasized that all that could have been discussed there is the process of implementing the regulation and the forms or ways of facilitating this agreement.

The Vetëvendosje MP, Adnan Rrustemi, while presenting the three-year report of the work of the majority MPs, said that during these years, 202 laws have been approved in the Assembly of Kosovo.

Among the most important, Rrustemi mentioned the establishment of the Commercial Court, the law on the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the law on the declaration, origin and control of wealth and gifts, the package of laws that regulates the Correctional and Probation Service in Kosovo.
