The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has requested more commitment from the Central Election Commission to complete the vote counting process.
In his address at the opening of the Government meeting, Kurti called for increased cautiousness in protecting the will of voters to conclude, as he put it, a free and democratic electoral process.
He said that the diaspora also had a large participation in the parliamentary elections of February 9.
“We all expect from the Central Electoral Commission even more commitment to completing the counting process, and increased cautiousness in protecting the will of voters to conclude a free, regular, fair and democratic electoral process, with massive participation of citizens, for which I thank each and every one. Our diaspora also had the highest participation ever in the elections, which for the first time, in addition to voting by mail, had the opportunity to vote in our embassies and consulates”, he stressed.
At today’s meeting of the Kosovo Government, Kurti stressed that citizens expect the formation of the country’s new institutions from the Vetevendosje Movement as the winner of the February 9 elections as soon as possible.
