The Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, has accused Serbia of following the path of the methods of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin. According to him, these are a consequence of the unjust arrest of two citizens from Kosovo and the beating of Serbian politicians who think differently.
At the first meeting of the government held for this year, Kurti said that the year started with good news for Kosovo, starting with the liberalization of visas.
Prime Minister Kurti said that despite the positive changes in the country, this year too, the country is inheriting an old neighbor, which is getting worse. In this case, he added that the arrest of two citizens of the country on the border with Serbia is unjust.
Speaking about Serbia’s actions towards the citizens of Kosovo, Kurti said that Serbia continues to detain two other citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, Petrit Dula and Nezir Mehmetaj, for which he said that despite the fact that the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has requested the extradition of from the authorities of Serbia, they have not returned an answer.
Among other things, Kurti took an example for the malicious behavior of Serbia, the arrest of two citizens from Kosovo and the beating of the opposition politician Nikola Sandulovic.
He said that Serbia continues its journey towards Putin’s methods, from intimidation to torture.
