Vetëvendosje has proposed February 2 as the next date for holding parliamentary elections.
This is how sources of KosovaPress within the VV inform.
Meanwhile, the president Vjosa Osmani, yesterday during the day, stated that she received a proposal from VV for the preferred date, but that she did not show it.
“I am not announcing the date today. However, we have given the parties until the end of this week that if they have any additional issues that they did not raise that day, to raise them… We will have time until tomorrow to hear if they have any additional thoughts. After the schedule ends tomorrow, we sit down, I listen to the evaluations of my cabinet, the legal team. They have the issues that have been raised by all parties. But, in the end, it is the discretion of the institution of the presidency to choose the date. I don’t believe there is any difference a week more or a week less. I don’t believe that it makes a big difference… We informed the public two days ago that the chairman of the LVV, at the same time the prime minister, informed me in writing about the preferred date of the VV”, Osmani stated on Thursday.
On July 31, President Vjosa Osmani gathered the parliamentary parties in a meeting to discuss the date of the parliamentary elections.
