The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has expressed his willingness to de-escalate the situation in the north. He presented four concrete steps that the Government of Kosovo is ready to undertake to contribute to the restoration of stability in the north. However, he said that they also expect Serbia to promise to withdraw violent protesters from municipal buildings and to cooperate in the detention and judicial proceedings of the perpetrators of violence on the part of Kosovo.
In an English-language post on Facebook, Kurti said that urgent action should be taken to de-escalate the situation in the north.
