At the parade ceremony of the Kosovo Security Force and Kosovo Police, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that “behind us lies the long history of resistance and struggle to achieve the creation and construction of the state of Kosovo.”
At this ceremony, which was attended by many citizens, Prime Minister Kurti mentioned all the personalities who helped Kosovo in its journey to independence, starting from Hasan Prishtina to the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.
“Behind us lies a long history of resistance, war and the commitment of the people of our country, to achieve the creation and construction of our state. In the middle of this square are we, the elected representatives of our people, democratically elected by you, together with you, the citizens of the Republic, who are our voters. On the foundations of this democratic relationship, voters and elected representatives, the Republic of Kosovo has been established and continues to be maintained, since the elections of November 17, 2007, which brought forth the legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo, which declared independence on February 17, 2008, and until the first regular elections one week before February 9, 2025, which will soon bring the new legislature to the Assembly of the Republic”, said Kurti.
Kurti said that in the modern history of Europe, the creation of the state of Kosovo is one of the most powerful and exemplary stories of progress for freedom and perseverance for the state. According to him, the history of Kosovo does not begin nor end with any one generation.
