The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that on September 1, the implementation of two decisions of the Government, regarding license plates and ID cards, will begin, but he added that even after this date, the information campaign for license plates will continue.
At the opening of the Government meeting, Kurti addressed the citizens also in the Serbian language, saying that in the face of the call for legality, a disinformation campaign aimed at instability was launched.
“In front of the call for legality, a campaign of disinformation aimed at instability was launched”, said Kurti.
According to him, the barricades in the north were composed of armed individuals with a criminal past.
“We know that the barricades that are placed in the north do not come from below, but are placed from above, they do not represent you, our citizens, nor do they protect you. On the other hand, the Kosovo Police is at the service of our citizens without distinction”, he concluded.
According to him, the conversion of vehicle license plates from illegal to RKS serves law and order.
“The decision to equip with the document for entry and exit at the border points will not hinder the freedom of movement. The waiting time for these documents is 20 seconds. I heard about the fake news that ID or Serbian documents will be confiscated at the border, this is not true, the document for entry and exit is an additional document that is given free of charge with which other services can be obtained in our institutions during the stay in Kosovo. No one is immune to misinformation, the danger from it is very great. We need extra care. Today, disinformation poses a threat to national security. Our campaign of information about car license plates will continue and will not stop even after September 1, when our two decisions will start to be implemented”, said Kurti.
