The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that Serbia is responsible for the act of aggression in Banjska of Zveçan. On the one year anniversary of the terrorist attack in Banjska, the head of government, after paying homage to the grave of the police sergeant, the hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku, asked for the support of international factors for Serbia to give responsibility for the financing and management of the paramilitary group that violated the sovereignty of Kosovo.
Kurti underlined that the sacrifice of the fallen sergeant, Afrim Bunjaku, was worth it for the police, the state, and future generations.
He added that the ideals of the martyrs are being brought to life, while the memory of them is being eternized, as is the case with the name of the street “Afrim Bunjaku”, in Banjska of Zveçan.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, said that Afrim Bunjaku is a hero of Kosovo, who was martyred in defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo.
Along with Kurti and Konjufca was also the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla and many police officials who paid homage to the grave of the hero Afrim Bunjaku, but also visited his family.
A year has passed since a uniformed group of Serbs carried out a terrorist attack in the village of Banjska in Zveçan. In an ambush, the police officer Afrim Bunjaku was first killed and two other police officers were injured, while in the subsequent action of the Kosova Police, three attackers were killed in the fighting, while the other group fled to Serbia. /KosovaPress/
