Kuka expects support for our champions at the European Judo Championship in Prishtina

The European Judo Championship “Prishtina 2023” is approaching, where there are 10 days left until the day when many judo stars from all over the world will land in Kosovo.

Regarding the European judo “Prishtina 2023”, the coach of the Kosovar team, Driton Kuka, said that this is the first time that we have such a high level of competition in our country, reports KosovaPress.

“The Absolute European Championship is coming to Kosovo! Next week, the World Judo Elite is landing in our capital. The absolute European Championship up to 73 kg for men and up to 57 kg for women will be held on December 16 in Prishtina! The first time we have such a high level in our country”, wrote Kuka on Facebook.

Further, Kuka announced that well-known names such as Azeri Hajdarov (first in the world judo ranking list) will come to Kosovo.

“World No. 1 Azeri Hajdarov, judo legend Olympic Champion Shavdatuashvili, Italian Olympic runner-up Lombardo will come to Kosovo and Akil Gjakova and Dardan Cena will compete for us, who will be motivated as never before! In the women’s category up to 57 kg, in addition to our two Olympic Champions, many World and European medalists will participate from the World Elite!”, said Kuka.

Furthermore, the coach of the Kosovar judo team said that he expects support from the stands for our champions.

“The Palace of Youth on December 16 will see the stars of the judo sport! We expect support from the stands for our Champions! Photos from the final preparations for the Absolute European Championship!”, wrote Kuka on Facebook.
