The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, on the second day of his official visit to the US, was received at the US State Department by the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, where he expressed the stance of PDK that the alignment and coordination of Kosovo with the USA has no alternative.
In the press release, it is announced that the head of the PDK has thanked Escobar for the American support given to Kosovo.
In this meeting, Krasniqi said that the US has given and continues to give Kosovo support in the process of integration and empowerment in the international arena – including Kosovo’s goal of membership in NATO, the EU and the UN.
“I assured Mr. Escobar that the stance of the people of Kosovo, and without a doubt also of the PDK as the leader of the opposition, for the preservation and strengthening of the bilateral and strategic relations between Kosovo and the USA is indisputable and unchangeable. When the White House is the address and when the alliance with the USA is the path, the affirmation and national and state success of Kosovo is an inevitable destination”, said Krasniqi.
