Krasniqi: A great day for our democracy

The PDK leader, accompanied by his wife, voted at the “Hasan Prishtina” primary school and stated that today is an important day for the citizens and the democracy of Kosovo. He urged citizens to go out and vote.

“Today is a good day, a great day, an extremely important day for our country, for our citizens, and for the democracy of Kosovo, with full belief in the future of our citizens and the opportunity and potential for a more dignified life for all. I believe that this day should be used by every citizen who has the right to vote, and through the exercise of this right, they should give the verdict on how they want to lead the country in the next four years,” emphasized Krasniqi.

The number of voting centers available to citizens is 941, of which 903 are for regular voting, with a total of 2,533 voting stations, and 38 voting centers for conditional voting (one for each municipality), with a total of 56 voting stations.

For the first time in Kosovo’s election history, citizens with the right to vote have the opportunity to select a political party and up to ten candidates for parliament, unlike previous elections when they could choose only up to five candidates.

Today’s parliamentary elections on February 9 are also being monitored by over 100 European Union observers, reports KosovaPress.
