Kosovo Special Intervention Unit conducts joined trainings with the US Army   

The Special Intervention Unit is being trained by the US Army, as part of a bilateral military engagement between the United States of America and the Republic of Kosovo.

This is the Special Intervention Unit of the Kosovo Police, ready to intervene to help citizens in any situation.

This unit, which is prepared to intervene in high-risk operations, is currently conducting training with the US military.

The exercises that are being conducted in Kosovo will last several days and they are proving the strong partnership between the US and Kosovo.

The KosovaPress team has closely followed the training and brings the images of some of the exercises that have been realized today.

Whereas, the Americans have said that they are standing close to the allies in Kosovo.

“We are here with special forces unit training with our partners here in Kosovo as part of a bilateral military engagement between the US and Kosovo. We are very happy to be here, staying strong with our allies here in Kosovo and training with our partners.”

The Special Intervention Unit , which this year marks 15 years of its establishment, is equipped with special weapons and equipment.

American partners have praised the preparations of the Kosovo Police and according to them the Elite Unit is proving high professionalism.

“We couldn’t have been more impressed by the professionalism we have seen in our partners here in the Kosovo Police. It was a great opportunity for us to work with them and learn from each other from this training … I want to thank the people of Kosovo for the hospitality, it was a great opportunity for us to work with our partners in the police and to interact with the population here as whole”.

The trainings of the American army in Kosovo are realized in the framework of the bilateral agreement between Kosovo and the United States of America.
