With the motto “Now even easier”, the Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP) has marked the International Freedom of Information Day, in which case a discussion was held with the mayors of the municipalities, where it was said that Kosovo ranks best in region in terms of municipal accountability and transparency.
The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency, Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, said that access to public documents is crucial for an open and democratic society.
She emphasized that through this conference they aim to raise awareness of the importance of self-initiative publication of public documents for open and transparent municipalities.
