The Government of Kosovo has today imposed additional sanctions on Russia due to its military aggression in Ukraine.
Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gërvalla stated at today’s meeting that taking such decisions will contribute to the continuity of close cooperation with the United States of America and the European Union.
“These sanctions include: restrictive export measures related to dual-use goods and technology, as well as goods and technology that can contribute to the technological improvement of Russia’s defense and security sector. Restrictive measures prohibiting new investments in the Russian energy sector. As well as a comprehensive export restriction on equipment, technology and services for Russia’s energy industry, with the exception of the nuclear industry and the downstream energy transport sector. Restrictive measures that prohibit all transactions with some state-owned companies, which are already subject to refinancing restrictions, and finally restrictive measures that prohibit the provision of loan assessment services”, stated Gërvalla.
