On Sunday, the first qualifying stage for the World Championship of handball players, which will be held next year in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, ended.
The nine national teams that will play in the second phase have been determined. For the first time in the second phase, the Kosovo National Team will be present, after the historic success achieved in the matches against the Faroe Islands.
The draw for the second stage will be drawn on November 19 in Ljubljana.
Austria, Slovakia, Iceland, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Portugal and Greece joined Kosovo in the second phase. These nine national teams, as well as the Czech Republic, will play in the second stage with ten national teams currently participating in Euro 2022. The winners will go to the World Cup.
So Kosovo has only one more obstacle before the World Cup. Its passage would be a tremendous success. The second stage matches take place in the spring.
