Kosovar boxers’ plights, they are forced to take loans to participate in international competitions

Although they are successful in many local and international competitions, the boxers of Kosovo continue to face many problems, especially in terms of finance and infrastructure.

In many cases, they are forced to borrow money to be part of various competitions, which is presenting a serious problem in their advancement.

Boxer Bashkim Bajoku tells KosovaPress that he needs more financial support to be part of training camps abroad that would help him to show better performance in various competitions.

Even Bashkimi’s brother, Shpëtim Bajoku, while talking about the daily training routine, also reveals that in many cases they are forced to borrow money to be part of international competitions.

Unlike the Bajoku brothers, the boxer from Gjakova, Taulant Jakupi, is satisfied with the support he receives from the state and the conditions in which he trains.

Meanwhile, the secretary of the Kosovo Boxing Federation, Latif Demolli, told KosovaPress that in general the working conditions of Kosovar boxers have improved in the financial aspect and that now the aim is to win the Olympic standard for the Olympic Games ‘Paris 2024’.

We remind you that the Balkan and world medalist, boxer Donjeta Sadiku, has complained about poor working and training conditions on many occasions.
