KosovaPress News Agency and the Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) have reconfirmed the successful cooperation of over a decade by renewing the agreement between the two media, which includes the exchange of information and other materials such as photos and videos.
The agreement was signed by the heads of both media, the director of KosovaPress, Suzana Rakovica, and the director of ATA, Valbona Zhupa. Through this agreement, the political, social and cultural life of both countries comes closer to the news feed followers of both agencies, through accurate information.
After signing the agreement, Zhupa stated that together with KosovaPress they have plans for the future, in which they are working.
“It is a privilege for me to sign this agreement, both of our agencies will be the voice of Albanian citizens in the region, Europe and beyond. We are working hard for the future, initially with our lobbying for KosovaPress to become part of EANA, but also to create a Balkan News Room, between Balkan news agencies”, she said.
Whereas, Rakovica, expressed gratitude for the continuous support that the Albanian Telegraphic Agency has given to KosovaPress both professionally and in lobbying for membership in international news agency organizations.
“With ATA we have a cooperation of over 10 years and this agreement renewed today only strengthens this cooperation between us, but at the same time we are two Albanian agencies that try to convey the interest of citizens as far as possible, through other regional and European news agencies, with which we have cooperation”, she said.
KosovaPress is currently part of the Balkan News Network as ABNA, while aiming to become part of the European Alliance of News Agencies known as EANA. Weeks ago, KosovaPress signed an agreement with the Bulgarian News Agency BTA, as part of the process of establishin the Balkan News Room.
